Powerlane Podcast There’s More Than Meets the Eye.

Stay in your lane? I think not, Powerlane Podcast is something that every women needs to listen to.

I got to Shirlayne’s home studio on a beautiful Sunday, and was excited to visit and share my story with my dear friend. I wanted to share my story hoping that it would help others step into their power and share their personal gifts with the world. I had no expectations about the podcast, but yet, it ended up being something serendipitous, helping me reflect on my highs and lows in both my personal and professional lives. Ironically enough, Powerlane Podcast was one of the best gifts I’ve ever received, seeing how I was supposed to be giving a gift to the listeners.

Powerlane Podcast was one of the best gifts I’ve ever received…. Seeing how I was supposed to be giving a gift to the listeners.

The overall goal of the Powerlane Podcast is to share the stories and experiences of real women who have stepped into their PowerLane, and inspire listeners to apply the insights and wisdom that resonate with them to their own Powerlane Journey, deepening connections and strengthening the world along the way.

Not only did I (hopefully) inspire women to take pieces of my story that resonated with them, I was given the gift of reflection. I don’t think I saw my journey as powerful, it was just something that ‘was’.  In stepping into my own power, I gleaned pieces of knowledge about myself- and just as much as I helped others in sharing my story, I stepped into my own power,  and that is exactly what Powerlane Podcast seeks to accomplish.

What I learned from this Podcast

  1. It’s imperative to lean into each other and learn from each other.
  2. Show up for yourself. I learned that I am powerful, and that it’s ok to step into my power. My own version of power. I was able to verbalize how I came to be and how much I had to offer the world.
  3. I learned my own personal mantra: “Don’t be afraid to just start & know you’re capable.”  All I need to know before starting something new is to know I was capable. I didn’t  need all the answers to get where I was going-  I just needed to start. I would figure it out along the way. Just starting was all that mattered.
  4.  Sometimes it’s a long-game, but you’ve got this.
  5. Use your blessings to be a blessing.
  6. To ask yourself: How do you define power? What does that look like for you? It’ a very poignant question but delving deep is something that women should do to reflect and to step into their version of power.

Shirlayne has an incredible knack for ” verbalizing”  things only one can feel, and makes it a point in helping others see their potential, past and present.
